Leaders Romans Group Expands Portfolio with Acquisition of Stirling Ackroyd, Alexander & Co, and Peter Ball
In a strategic move aimed at bolstering its presence in the residential sales, lettings, and surveying sectors, Leaders Romans Group (LRG) has successfully acquired Stirling Ackroyd, Alexander & Co, and Peter Ball. These businesses, operating multiple branches across London, Surrey, Oxfordshire, and Gloucestershire, represent significant additions to LRG’s already expansive portfolio.
The acquisition is poised to fuel growth in areas where LRG has identified opportunities for expansion. While integrating these new entities into its fold, LRG has affirmed that all branches will retain their current branding.
Nick Dunning, the CEO at Stirling Ackroyd, and George Thomas, CEO at Alexander & Co, will oversee a brief transition period before departing from their respective roles. However, all other team members are set to seamlessly transition to LRG.
Matthew Light, Group Mergers and Acquisitions Director at LRG, emphasized the magnitude of the acquisition, stating, “Stirling Ackroyd represents our second largest acquisition with 31 branches, with Alexander & Co’s ten branches also joining the LRG group of brands in the same week.”
Light further elaborated on the strategic significance, saying, “Stirling Ackroyd is a fantastic business that increases our share of the London market, particularly on the lettings side.”
Commenting on the acquisition of Alexander & Co, Light highlighted the longstanding relationship with George Thomas, which facilitated the agreement. He added, “The acquisition brings high-quality lettings business and a strong presence in the sales market in the towns where they trade.”
Michael Cook, Chief Executive Officer at LRG, expressed his enthusiasm for the expansion, affirming that the acquisition aligns with the company’s long-term growth strategy. Cook warmly welcomed the new team members into the LRG family.
George Thomas, CEO at Alexander & Co, echoed Cook’s sentiments, emphasizing the compatibility of their business values with those of LRG. He stated, “Our three core business values of being personal, proactive, and ethical blend perfectly with those of LRG, and I am confident our clients and team will thrive as part of the wider LRG group.”
The acquisition of these renowned brands marks a significant milestone for LRG, reinforcing its commitment to growth and enhancing its foothold in key markets across the UK.
